Air Ionizer

Ionization removes the ultra-fine particles that a filter cannot capture, such as smoke, viruses, and chemical fumes.  It efficiently removes particulate from the air, such as mold, dust mites, bacteria, and other allergens.

Here's how it works: The ionizer sends trillions of negatively charged ions out into the room every second. When these ions touch tiny particles in the air they transfer a negative electrical charge to them. When these negatively charged particles come into contact with postively charged particles, the particles clump together, making them large enough to be caught in the XJ-3000C's filter system the next time they pass through the purifier. (Or they become heavy enough to fall to the ground where they can be removed during regular cleaning.)

The New-Aire XJ-3000C's fan also distributes ions into areas where where the filters are too far away to have an effect. By causing tiny particles to clump together and fall to the ground, the XJ-3000C becomes effective even at these distances.

These ions also reciruclate into the purifier, and when they do they work with the UV lamp to sterilize viruses and bacteria trapped in the filtration system so that they cannot reproduce as they do in the typical filter.
